Youth Metro Teams ("Travel")

Many people refer to Travel Teams in a way that scares some families away from looking into what it is or even wanting to play.

Travel basketball is not what it appears to be.  Is there travel involved?  Yes, but very limited and you are not going out of state or anything like that.  You basically play every other Sunday at a high school that is reasonably close to where you live.

As mentioned, you play every other Sunday.  When the day to play arrives, you go to a local high school and play two games.  This year we will host games at Indian Creek High School during these leagues.  That will eliminate travel on those days too.

Once the recreational league gets going we will announce a date and time for tryouts based on grades.  From watching the recreational games and the tryouts we will form our travel teams to participate in the Winter League of the Indy Girls Hoops League.  Visit the league website for more information: Indy Hoops Website
